Multi-use dress-skirt in ramie cotton. Waistband with drawstring and five small loops inside. Shell buttons at back and wide swinging ruffles at the bottom. Complementary long thin band. The dress-skirt is double layered until the bottom ruffle. Wear as a skirt with high or normal waist and style with any of the tops or blouses in the same material for a complete look. Or use the complementary band and put it in the inside loops to create shoulder straps and wear as a dress. The bands can be put into the loops in many different ways to create personal looks. You find some suggestions in the image photos. Play around to find the look that suits you. Style the dress with the drawstring blouse if the summer wind is too cold.
56% ramie 44% cotton
Ramie is like a little sister to linen. The fibres are a bit lighter and thinner, but the most appealing and sympathetic aspect is that it is a weed growing where nothing else will. It does not need lots of water or pesticides and is considered an important material for the future from an environmentally friendly point of view. Mixed with cotton the material has a softer hand feel and is more durable. The material will wrinkle as beautifully as linen and we recommend you not to iron this material. It will get the perfect look tumble dried on a low temperature or drying on a hanger. Remember to wash at a low temperature and use washing detergent for silk now and then to keep the material soft. If washed too hot and with too strong washing detergent the material will get brittle and break if wrinkled or folded repeatedly in the same place.
Wash inside out with similar colours in 30ºC. Use washing powder without bleach and sometimes washing powder for silk/wool to keep the material soft and lustrous. (As when you use conditioner for your hair).
