Founded by Matthew in 2013, the Matthew Calvin brand quickly became recognised as a go-to name for minimalist jewellery, and the team started to expand. Matthew was soon joined by Joseph, his husband, the Matthew Calvin stockist liaison & events coordinator, and Georgia, the brand and marketing manager. Now a small team of three, the Matthew Calvin team have been working together for almost 6 years to bring minimalist, beautifully crafted jewellery to our customers.
About Matthew:
Matthew was brought up in Barcelona and moved to London in 2010 to study fashion design. Instantly drawn to accessories, he began making jewellery for friends and family along with selling at markets and craft fairs. Since its launch in 2013 the brand has matured and grown considerably, with Matthew continuing to oversee the design process, production & brand vision.
After more than 10 years in the London jewellery industry, Matthew has built long lasting relationships with some of Hatton Garden's best suppliers and makers. Working alongside these talented craftspeople he designs and creates timeless, one-off pieces for bespoke customers - discover more about our bespoke service here.
Interesting fact - Matthew left school at 16 and trained as a chef, working in a Michelin star restaurant during his late teens.
